Third daily attendance record set at 2018 Minnesota State Fair

There's an outside chance of first fair to draw 2,000,000

The 2018 Minnesota State Fair has entered the grind; the final weekend.

And more attendance records continue to fall.

Through the first seven days of the state fair, three new daily attendance records are in the books.

The latest was Wednesday's 144,940, which is nearly 20-thousand more than the previous high for the only Wednesday of the fair.

It also nudged this year's total attendance past the 1,000,000 mark.

The attendance figure for Thursday comes out Friday afternoon.

A year ago, the fair drew more than 1,000,000 over its final five days.

If the weather holds up, there is an outside chance this will be the first Minnesota State Fair to draw 2,000,000 people.
