Police believe one man is responsible for stealing two Salvation Army Red Kettles just a few days apart, and they’re now trying to identify him.

Rogers Police said on December 7, a man stole an unattended kettle around 6:30 that evening from Cub Foods. They later learned another Red Kettle was taken two days earlier from a Brooklyn Park Cub Foods and the man who committed both crimes had the same description and wore the same clothing.

Police say the man used bolt cutters in both instances after the kettles were left unattended. Surveillance cameras recorded images of the suspected thief taking the kettles. He was seen leaving in this blue truck.

Earlier this month, a brother and sister were seen using bolt cutters to steal a Red Kettle from a Blaine Cub Foods. In addition, police in Maplewood say a patron at a Pizza Ranch last weekend swiped a small Red Kettle from the front desk after he and a woman left the restaurant upset a short time earlier.

Anyone who identifies the man is asked to call police at (651) 793-1120.
