Attempted Abduction of child in southwest Minneapolis

Police say it happened around 5:30 pm in the Linden Hills neighborhood.

 Minneapolis Police are investigating an attempted abduction of a young girl in Southwest Minneapolis. 

Police say it happened around 5:30 pm on Tuesday in the area of 41st St. West and Chowen Ave. South in the Linden Hills neighborhood.

The suspect is described as a white male 50 to 60 years old, 6 feet tall, thin build, with a long black beard down to his chest. Police say he was wearing a flat cap “newspaper-style” hat, black jacket and peach pants. 

Officers canvassed the neighborhood for evidence and witnesses. The man's description was shared with neighboring law enforcement agencies.
