WCCO Radio host Chad Hartman was writhing in his criticism of the Twins decision to fire manager Paul Molitor on Tuesday.

“I’’m not saying Paul is the greatest manager of all time, but are you bleeping kidding me?" Hartman said near the top of his afternoon show.

He said that he thought the Twins fired Molitor not because of the team's 78-84 record this season but "to take the blame away from the two people who made the moves in the offseason," — General Manager Thad Levine and Chief Baseball Officer Derek Falvey.

"I'm sorry, I think this is pathetic," he said.

Hartman added that while Molitor had to take some of the blame since he also gets credit when the team wins, he still felt the Twins made the wrong decision.

"But you're telling me when you analyze this season of the pecking order of issues, Paul Monitor is near the top of this list?" Hartman asked rhetorically. "I don't understand it at all. I think it's an awful decision. Flat out awful decision."
