The Minnesota Vikings will be without running back Dalvin Cook and defensive end Everson Griffen this Sunday against the Buffalo Bills.

Head coach Mike Zimmer announcing today both Cook and Griffen will be inactive Sunday. Cook is dealing with a hamstring issue, and Griffen has an injured knee.

Zimmer brushed off a suggestion that he was resting the two stars against the struggling Bills in anticipation of a matchup next Thursday night with the Los Angeles Rams.

"If they can play, they play.  We're not worrying about next week, we're worrying about the Buffalo Bills."

Cook missed a majority of his rookie year in 2017 after he tore his ACL.  His absence means Latavius Murray should get a majority of the work at running back.

The Vikings (1-0-1) host the Bills (0-2) Sunday at noon at US Bank Stadium.

Sore hamstring or not, Dalvin Cook will be center stage during The Players Show Monday night on WCCO Radio.  Cook will be on-site live at the Lone Oak Grill in Eagan for the live broadcast.  Join us live Monday evening at 5:30!
