By popular demand—Brussels sprouts!  All of food-world has settled on Brussels sprouts as the virtuous veggie, I suppose because it’s a cruciferous vegetable, part of the family famed for cancer-fighting properties, and maybe because people used to hate them, which makes them seem extra virtuous?  In any event, they’re the number one veggie everyone seems to want these days, especially at Thanksgiving, so start practicing with these amazing recipes!

Annie Lau’s Garlic Stir-Fried Brussels Sprouts
Why do garlic and Brussels sprouts go so well together?  One of life’s mysteries, but this is definitely the dish to devour when you feel a cold coming on—so crispy, and all that immune-system boosting garlic.

Crunchy Bacon Blue Cheese and Red Pepper Brussels Sprouts
A family friendly Thanksgiving-perfect option, with a little salt, a little sweet, a little cheese—it goes really well with meatloaf, if you’re not doing a turkey tonight.

Charred Brussels Sprouts
My favorite way of doing Brussels sprouts is to roast them till they’re a bit black at the edges, I love the deep roasty flavor they develop.  This recipe tells you the secret to getting there with tender sprouts: Cook them first in hot water! Smart.

Buffalo Brussels Sprouts
Like Buffalo wings, Brussels sprouts in the classic Buffalo preparation are popping up in all the vegan restaurants, and if you want teenagers to eat Brussels sprouts, do this! It’s good.

Caesar Brussels Salad
What if you cut up your Brussels sprouts in little strips?  That’s smart—and you’re then on the road to having something that’s as healthy as a kale Caesar salad, but tastier.
