Sentencing is Wednesday morning for the daycare worker who pleaded guilty to trying to hang a toddler and fleeing police.

Nataliia Karia, 43, pleaded guilty to attempted murder and other charges in February.

In November 2016, a man dropping off his own child from Uptown Daycare in Minneapolis, rescued the 16-month-old toddler in the basement from a noose made with tights. Karia sped away from the house in a minivan, striking a bicyclist and another car. A group of people stopped her from jumping off an I-35W overpass.

She faces up to 15 years in prison during the 9 a.m. hearing.

In court earlier this year, Karia said she was suffering from mental health issues.
