University of Minnesota Regent Dean Johnson spoke with Chad Hartman about the process of hiring a new president for the university and how Joan Gabel has become the lone finalist for the job.

Johnson spoke about the process the search committee went through, what still lies ahead before the final vote, and what matters most to him when choosing the right person.

Johnson also said he believes that Gabel will get the job. "This is the person that has risen to the top. I’ll continue to vet her and she will, more than likely, become the first woman president of the University of Minnesota."
