Right arm soreness comes after Dyson is acquired at trade deadline

The relief pitcher acquired by the Twins just before the trading deadline is now on the ten-day injured list.

The Twins announced Sunday morning that Sam Dyson is out because of right biceps tendinitis.

Taking Dyson's place on the major league roster is lefthander Devin Smeltzer, who's already been called up three times this season.

Smeltzer is starting Sunday's game against the Kansas City Royals.

Dyson has appeared in two games since coming over in a trade with San Francisco, allowing six runs on six hits.

On Saturday, outfielder Byron Buxton and pitcher Michael Pineda went on the injured list.

Buxton is bothered by a sore left shoulder after colliding with the wall at Marlins Park on Thursday while trying to make a catch.

Pineda has a right triceps strain.

Pitcher Zach Littel and outfielder Jake Cave were recalled to take the roster spots of Pineda and Buxton.
