Keith Ellison's divorce records will be unsealed.

A Hennepin County family court referee says the divorce records of Keith and Kim Ellison will be released next week, with the exception of documents subject to restrictions under state law.

Alpha News, a conservative news website, and the Star Tribune, had filed suit to have those records released, despite the objections of Ellison, and his ex-wife.

Kim Ellison has said there were no instances of abuse or anything resembling what Ellison's ex-girlfriend Karen Monahan alleges,  that Ellison physically and verbally assaulted her.

Ellison is running for Minnesota Attorney General against Republican Doug Wardlow.
