Only 10 Democrats will take the stage, as they were the only ones to hit the Democratic National Committee's polling and fundraising threshold by the Aug. 26 deadline.  That's half the field that took place in the July debates.

Former Vice President Joe Biden and Sen. Elizabeth Warren are currently the frontrunners (#1 and #2 in polls) and will be sharing the stage for the first time.  It's also the first time Warren and California Senator Kamala Harris will be on the same stage.  They are currently the top two polling women candidates.

The other candidates will be Sen. Bernie Sanders; Mayor Pete Buttigieg; former Texas Rep. Beto O’Rourke; Sen. Cory Booker; former Secretary of Housing and Urban Development Julián Castro; and Andrew Yang.

Hawaii Rep. Tulsi Gabbard; author Marianne Williamson; billionaire executive Tom Steyer; Colorado Sen. Michael Bennet; Montana Gov. Steve Bullock; New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio; former Maryland Rep. John Delaney; Miramar, FL, Mayor Wayne Messam; Ohio Rep. Tim Ryan; and former Pennsylvania Rep. Joe Sestak did not meet the DNC's requirements for the third debate.

The debate gets underway at 7 p.m. and airs on ABC.  The moderators will be ABC News chief anchor George Stephanopoulos, ABC News World News Tonight anchor and managing editor David Muir, ABC News correspondent Linsey Davis, and Univision anchor Jorge Ramos.
