The snow appears to be over, and now many Minnesotans are dealing with the water runoff from all the snowmelt

Governor Walz and Senator Amy Klobuchar meet Friday at 2:00 p.m. with state and federal emergency preparedness officials, their roundtable discussion centering on holding back rising rivers, streams and creeks.

The meeting takes place at the Department of Public Safety office in St. Paul.

In south Minneapolis, the Minnehaha Creek Watershed District is using National Weather Service forecasts to find trouble spots.

The creek itself is starting to spill over its banks and flooding walking paths.

Near the town of Jordan, the rising Sand Creek is spilling into the Valley Green Mobile Home Park, where there's a voluntary evacuation of some one-thousand residents.

Those who left were taken to Jordan High School.

There is also a wide number of reports of flooded basements, and homeowners are urged to shovel snow away from their foundations to prevent water damage.
