The Minnesota Twins lost a beloved member of their staff.

Wayne Hattaway, affectionately known as "Big Fella", had worked in the Twins organization from 1962 until 2018.

Hattaway was known in the clubhouse as a jokester, in good times or in bad times. According to a 2009 Yahoo Sports profile on Hattaway, Twins players and staff appreciated Hattway's style.

"He's not here to make you feel good," Twins manager Ron Gardenhire said. "He's here to keep all of us honest. And laughing."

Hattaway was 80 years old.
