There have been a lot of feel-good stories during the pandemic and a lot of Minnesotan's are going above and beyond for their neighbors. One good neighbor helped a Target shopper out in a time of need.

Melody Mendis tells the story that she was at the Knollwood Target when a man in rang up $350 or so of merchendise. As he attempted to pay, he realized he forgot his wallet. That's when another man saw what was happening and came to his aid.

"He was very humble, had his head down and said not to worry about it and that he's paying the bill, then put his credit card in the reader. The guest who forgot his wallet and I were thanking him and all he said was, 'I'm paying it forward," Mandis said.

"I felt pure shock, started shaking and rendered completely speechless," Mandis said of the exchange. "This literally blew my mind because I've paid for someone else's coffee in the drive-through as an act of 'paying it forward' and never in my wildest dreams would I have thought a complete stranger to be so kind and selfless as to pay such a huge shopping bill between $350-$360.00, can't remember the exact price because I was in shock, for another person. This brought a whole new meaning to the phrase, 'paying it forward!' Anyone who has ever been in customer service knows, it can be difficult at times but then, something like this happens and it truly reminds you in a deeper way how humanity can be so giving and loving, even among strangers at the local Target."
