Gophers look to break three-game losing streak against winless Cornhuskers

That's right... Nebraska hasn't won a game this season

Nebraska football? Winless?

You read that right.

For the first time ever, the Cornhuskers are 0-6.

It's not exactly how they wanted to start under first-year head coach Scott Frost.

He was hired to replace Mike Riley, whose 2017 Nebraska team went 4-8 for the fewest wins since 1961.

Minnesota comes into the game in Lincoln at 3-3 following last week's loss at Ohio State.

The Gophers won their first three games of the season, all against non-conference teams. They are 0-3 in the Big Ten.

The Gophers rushed for more than 400 yards against Nebraska last year, and the winless Cornhuskers remain vulnerable to the run.

Minnesota's hot hand is freshman Mohamed Ibrahim, who ran for 105 of his 157 yards against Ohio State in the first half last week.

Shannon Brooks has been medically cleared to return after an offseason knee injury, but his status is uncertain following his weekend arrest on suspicion of misdemeanor domestic assault.

The Huskers are allowing 177 yards per game on the ground to rank 10th in the Big Ten.
