More jobs have been created in Minnesota.

The state Department of Employment and Economic Development reports that 10,200 jobs were added in Minnesota in May, dropping the state's unemployment rate to 3.1 percent. That compares favorably to the national rate of 3.9 percent, and is the lowest record in Minnesota in 18 years.

Last month alone, professional and business services created 2,700 new jobs to lead all sectors, following by hospitality and construction jobs.

In the past 12 months, manufacturing has added more than 6,000 jobs in Minnesota, more than any other sector.
