The Hennepin County medical examiner Monday released its report on Thurman Blevins, ruling that the 31-year-old Minneapolis man died from multiple gunshot wounds on Saturday.

The manner of Blevins' death was ruled a homicide.

The report did not say where Belvins was hit by the bullets.

Blevins was shot and killed by Minneapolis police officers, who were called to a northside neighborhood following two 911 calls of a man firing a handgun into the air and ground,

The BCA is leading the investigation, and the agency's initial report stated that a handgun was found at the scene. Details of the autopsy are forwarded to the BCA.

Witnesses say Blevins was not armed at the time of the confrontation.

The coroner's report follows a day of demonstration and vigils in Minneapolis. A memorial in Blevins' memory is now at the corner of 48th and Camden Avenues, the site of the shooting.
