MPD makes quick arrest in homicide in north Minneapolis

Investigators believe the suspect and victim knew each other

A man is custody suspected of murder following quick work from Minneapolis Police.

Officers were called to the 1000 block of Morgan Ave. N. after 8 p.m. Thursday for the report of a shooting. 

Arriving officers found a man without a pulse. They performed CPR, but the unidentified victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators believe the victim and suspect knew each other.

On Friday evening police announced an arrested had been made.

"Working off of leads generated at the scene, as well as physical evidence, the Minneapolis Police Department were able to arrest an adult male for the murder that happened August 9th on the 1000 block of Morgan Avenue North," said a statment from MPD.

The adult male was booked into the Hennepin Adult Detention Center on Probable Cause Murder.
