Man dies from gunshot wound in north Minneapolis Friday

There have been 35 reported homicides in the city in 2019

One man was killed and another wounded in a shooting Friday night in north Minneapolis.  

According to the MPD report, police were called at 6:25 p.m. Friday to the 2200 block of North Aldrich Avenue when they were flagged down by someone driving a wounded man to the hospital.  

Emergency crews were called to 17th and Lyndale Avenue North by officers, but their life-saving efforts couldn't revive the man.  

This is the 35th reported homicide of the year in Minneapolis. 

The other man who was shot remains hospitalized at HCMC in critical but stable condition.

Names of the shooting victims are not released.

Police say there have been no arrests in the shootings.
