The Lynx were ousted from the WNBA playoffs in the first round, but they are already picking up some hardware.

The league announced Monday morning that Lynx forward Napheesa Collier is the 2019 Rookie of the Year.

Collier received 29 votes from a national panel of 43 sportswriters and broadcasters.

Collier averaged 13.1 points, 6.6 rebounds, and is the first Lynx player to win WNBA rookie of the year since Maya Moore in 2011.

The Lynx selected Collier with the sixth overall pick of WNBA Draft after her standout career at the University of Connecticut.
