Warming temperatures in the Twin Cities have made highways and streets less slick, prompting the State Patrol to lift its "no travel" advisory in the metro.

Saturday morning's rain and freezing temperatures created icy condition that left roads so slippery that whatever traffic was out there slowed to a crawl.

It also led to a number of spinouts and crashes that's kept the Minnesota State Patrol busy.

Metro Transit didn't take any chances

They stopped all bus service Saturday morning because of the ice, resuming the routes just after noon.

Both light rail lines remained on schedule.
