Fridley's Madsen Park has a brand new basketball court, thanks to the community coming together to vote online, and the Timberwolves.

The organization has revealed four refurbished courts this summer. This the only one in the metro, along with Theif River Falls, Little Falls and Marshall.

Rookie Jarrett Culver says he and his brother used to frequently play outdoors.

"I'm excited," he said. "I know there's going to be a lot of memories and I'm glad to be a part of it."

Culver led a clinic for kids after the ribbon cutting. The Wolves' first preseason game is Oct. 8.
