With the Twins playing meaningful baseball in September, the team is offering fans an economical way to become part of the action at Target Field.

Twins president Dave St. Peter announced Friday morning on the WCCO Morning News with Dave Lee that two-for-one "Pack the Park" tickets for six games this month are now available.

It's a limited one-time offer for games on Sept. 10-12 against the Washington Nationals and Sept. 16-18 against the Chicago White Sox.

Fans purchasing two seats in sections 310-319 for those six games will be charged the price of one ticket.

"It's all rooted in making sure that our building is full as possible for the most important games of the season," said St. Peter.

Those sections in the upper deck between first and third base, known as Home Plate View seats, can be purchased at

Following Thursday's dramatic 2-1 win at Boston, the Twins take a 6 1/2-game lead in the AL Central into Friday night's weekend series opener against the Cleveland Indians.

At 87-53, the Twins have the fourth-best record in major league baseball.

"These games matter," said St. Peter. "We are not only battling for an American League Central Division title,  frankly, we'd like to find a way to have the best record in the American League and secure home-field advantage in the post-season."
