There are a couple of road closures this weekend in the Twin Cities metro for construction projects.

All eastbound lastes of Interstate 94 between 35W and highway 280 are closed starting Friday at 10 p.m.

Detours are posted on 35W, highway 36, and 35E.

The lanes are scheduled to reopen by Monday at 4 a.m.

Also closing for the weekend is the historic Third Avenue Bridge, the 102-year-old span that links downtown to northeast Minneapolis.
