Saturday's travel throughout Minnesota was hampered by high winds and icy roads following the storm that moved through the region.

The Minnesota State Patrol reports 306 car crashes statewide between 6:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Saturday.

That includes 35 crashes where people were injured.

The damage total includes 278 cars sliding off roadways, 24 spin-outs, and 15 tractor-trailer that jackknifed on the slippery pavement.

Those numbers were smaller for overnight Saturday into Sunday

Windy conditions are expected to make travel difficult again on Sunday.

It's also a more complicated day for parking in the Twin Cities, where both Minneapolis and St. Paul have declared snow emergencies.
