Authorities in southeastern Minnesota say they found what appears to be partial human remains, and they're waiting to see if the torso and leg are that of a missing Wisconsin man.

A boot was also attached to the remains found Saturday afternoon in the Mississippi River near Camp Lacupolis, which is north of Wabasha.

The Wabasha County sheriff's office says the boot appears similar to one found last month in the search for David John Sheridan.

Those remains were discovered in West Newton.

The 61-year-old man from Pepin, Wisc. has been missing since April.

His boat was found north of Wabasha with its lights and motor running.

DNA testing of the remains will determine if there's a match with the missing man.
