It's been ten days since a five-year-old boy was thrown from the third floor of the Mall of America, and family members are saying his recovery is miraculous.

"One of his attending physicians said this: 'This is truly a miracle,'" Pastor Mac Hammond told his congregation, following a conversation with the boy's grandfather about a recent MRI exam.

"This is him speaking: 'It's like he fell off a bicycle instead of off the third floor of the mall.'"

The video was posted on the Facebook page of Living Word Christian Center, where the boy and his family attend service.

"There was zero evidence of brain damage," Pastor Hammond said, the congregation breaking into shouts of joy and applause. "There wasn't even any swelling in the brain. No spinal cord injury, no nerve damage, no internal injuries that were life-threatening."

Pastor Hammond did say he was told the boy, named Landen, did have multiple broken bones.

"There was some small internal bleeding that had to be addressed," he said. "It was a miracle he wasn't killed."

Landen has been recovering at Children's Hospital in Minneapolis.

The man accused by police of throwing the boy nearly forty feet off the mall's third flood remains in custody in the Hennepin County jail, and faced attempted murder charges.

A GoFundMe page for Landen and his family has raised nearly $1 million.
