“I am your President of Law and Order, and an ally of peaceful protestors,”: President Trump says he has mobilized every federal resource to quell protests.

The President, who spoke from the Rose Garden at the White House just moments after police cleared protesters from the area, urged governors to deploy the National Guard saying he has mobilized every federal resource available, both civilian and military.

President Trump said he spoke with governors earlier today and “strongly recommended” they deploy the National Guard insufficient force to “dominate the streets.” President Trump said he is focused on deploying an overwhelming force to end any riots.

"If a city or state refuses to take the actions that are necessary to defend the life and property of their residents, then I will deploy the United States military and quickly solve the problem for them,” Trump said.

President Trump reiterated his stance on defending law-abiding citizens across the United States. “I am your President of Law and Order, and an ally of peaceful protestors,” Trump said. “Now I am going to pay my respects to a very, very special place.”

After concluding his press conference, President Trump walked to St. John’s Church, where peaceful protesters were cleared using tear gas and flashbangs.
