Queen + Adam Lambert is coming to the Xcel Energy Center.

The legendary rock band, who were joined by Lambert in 2011, are heading out on 23-city tour next year.

The tour starts July 10 in Vancouver and includes an Aug. 10 date in downtown St. Paul.

Original Queen band members Brian May and Roger Taylor are back in demand following the success of the movie "Bohemian Rhapsody," which follows their rise to fame along with the late Freddy Mercury.

The Queen concert takes place less than two weeks before the start of the Minnesota State Fair and its list of nightly Grandstand performers.

The first two shows of the 2019 State Fair were announced Monday.

On the 25th anniversary of their multi-platinum selling album Cracked Rear View, Hootie & the Blowfish are getting back together and will  headline at the Grandstand on Thursday, Aug. 22.

That is opening night of the Great Minnesota Get-Together, and will include an appearance by alt-rock group Barenaked Ladies.

On Tuesday, Aug. 27 at the Grandstand, award-winning comedy recording artist Weird Al Yankovic is the attraction. This is part of his "Strings Attached" where he is joined by a full orchestra.

Tickets will be available Friday, December 7 through Etix at etix.com or by calling 800-514-3849.

In addition, tickets may be purchased at the State Fairgrounds Ticket Office during a limited-time opening from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on December 7.
