Report: Bridgewater To the Jets, Bradford To The Cardinals

Vikings Go With None Of 2017's Quarterbacks That Saw Action

March 13, 2018 - 3:04 pm

It's been a busy day for now former Viking Quarterbacks along with a brand-new one.

After reporting that the Purple will add former Washington QB Kirk Cousins and last year's starter Case Keenum is heading to Denver, new reports suggest Teddy Bridgewater and Sam Bradford will sign elsewhere.

New York is working on a deal with Bridgewater, NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported, via a source informed of the situation. New York is not Bridgewater's only option, Rapoport added, but he is the organization's first choice.  Bridgewater is free agency's biggest gamble with just two pass attempts since suffering a career-threatening knee injury in August of 2016.

Also via the NFL Network, former starter Sam Bradford looks to be heading to the Arizona Cardinals on a 1-year, $20 Million deal.  Bradford started 2 games for the Vikings in 2017 but injuries once again derailed a promising start for the former #1 overall pick.  The Vikings acquired Bradford in a trade with the Eagles after Bridgewater went down with an injury in 2016.  His health and durability remain a question mark, but Bradford has been very effective when able to play.
