Poll: Are Jimmy Butler's antics good for the Timberwolves?

Jaded star pulls no punches with team, coaches, management

There was high drama at Tuesday's Minnesota Timberwolves practice. Jimmy Butler finally showed up, and made quite a scene, according to plugged-in NBA reporters. Do you think his behavior ultimately helps or hurts the team?

Butler gave his version of events to ESPN, confirming reports he blew up at Wolves practice.

Butler has demanded the Timberwolves trade him, but so far, no offers have been accepted. Butler has been absent from Wolves training camp and preseason games.

But that changed today, according to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski

Furthermore, Wojnarowski reported that Butler took Timberwolves bench players and dominated other starters in the scrimmage.

Jon Krawczynski covers the Timberwolves for The Athletic. He joined WCCO's Chad Hartman to talk about the practice.

"This was (Butler) hitting another nuclear button. He's done it a couple of times already. This is the latest nuclear button he's hit to say, 'This is not going to work. Get it through your heads.'"

Krawczynski says the Timberwolves knew this would happen if they hadn't moved Butler by now.

"This was something that they were warned about on Monday, and even before then, that if you bring Jimmy back to practice, this is how it's going to go. And this is how it went."

He says it further damages the Timberwolves ability to get a decent trade for Butler.

Here is Chad's interview with Jon Krawczynski.
