The "ramp closed" sign at St. Paul's RiverCentre parking ramp is gone.

After being closed since May, the 1600 stall structure is reopen following safety concerns.

It was back in May that a large chunk of concrete fell onto a car. Nobody was hurt.

Six months later and about a million dollars in repairs, the facility has been deemed safe once again.

In fact, Visit St. Paul president and CEO Terry Mattson says in a press release that they took steps over and above the initial mandated list.

The ramp first opened in 1970. Last year, the city asked state lawmakers for money to help build a new ramp to no avail.
