Strep throat forces Stewart/Lauper to postpone Twin Cities concert

August 15, 2018 - 9:38 am

Concert-goers looking forward to seeing Rod Stewart and Cyndi Lauper at Xcel Energy Center on Wednesday night are going to have to wait a bit longer.

The Rock and Roll Hall of Famer announced that he's got a case of strep throat, so they have had to postpone the show until October 14.

Tickets purchased for the August 15 date will be honored then. Also, refunds will be issued for those not able to attend the October date.

The 73-year-old was first inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1994 as a solo artist, but was inducted a second time as a member of his band Faces in 2012.
