Minnesota senior senator Amy Klobuchar is announcing her 2020 plans this Sunday.

In an appearance on MSNBC Tuesday night, Klobuchar teased that the event at 1p.m. at Boom Island Park in Minneapolis will have hot chocolate and campfires but promised it will feature a "big announcement."

"Come to Boom Island in Minneapolis," she told host Rachel Maddow, "as in Boom Island 'drop the mic,' and then you'll find out. It's going to be a little cold, 20 degrees. Wear warm clothes. Maybe have little heat warmers with you. But then you'll find out my decision."

Klobuchar told Dave Lee on the WCCO Morning News last week that her family was on board with her decision.

If Klobuchar makes a run for president official, she'll join a crowded democratic field that features five women.

In her MSNBC appearance she also criticized the president's State of the Union address saying, "We need someone in the White House who’s a hero for their time."

Klobuchar won 43 counties in the midterm election that Trump carried in 2016.

Politico is reporting that Klobuchar will headline a Democratic Party dinner and fundraiser in Iowa later this month.
