This weekend's snowfall is a remainder that the 133rd annual St. Paul Winter Carnival is just around the corner.

The annual collectible buttons are now on sale.

"The buttons are one of our largest fundraisers for the Winter Carnival and it helps us keep the event free to the public, so that's important to us," Deb Schaber, president and CEO of the St. Paul Festival and Heritage Foundation, said.

The reveal event Saturday at Stacked Deck Brewing featured the St. Paul Winter Carnival Royal Family, Vulcans and Klondike Kates who then headed off around town to Bennett'sChop & Railhouse, Mancini's Char House and Tom Reid's Hockey City Pub to sell them.

The buttons cost $5 each or $19 for all four and are available at Cub Foods, Speedway and online at winter-carnival.com.

The Winter Carnival runs Jan. 24  through Feb. 3 at Kellogg Park, due to construction at Rice Park.
