Adam Thielen caught 12 passes for 131 yards in last weekend’s tie against the Packers including the dramatic 4th quarter touchdown that helped send the game to overtime. Not to be outdone, Stefon Diggs chipped in an additional 128 yards and two touchdowns as the Vikings lethal pair of receivers have Vikings fans remembering the days of Carter and Moss. Thielen joined The Morning News with Dave Lee on Friday and talked about what it’s like to play alongside Diggs.

“We have a lot of trust in each other, we try to help each other out," said Thielen during his regular Friday appearance on the WCCO Morning News with Dave Lee."He’s just such a hard working guy and such a good guy to be around. It makes it easy for us because we’re constantly bouncing ideas off each other. We’re constantly trying to make each other better and that’s what you want in that receiver group. It doesn’t end with him, it’s everyone in that room. We’re just trying to make sure we’re the best individual players and the best group we can possibly be.”

Last season Diggs and Thielen were one of the most potent wide receiver pairs in the NFL racking up a combined 155 receptions, 2,125 yards, and 12 TDs. With the help of the Vikings new star QB Kirk Cousins it seems likely that Theilen and Diggs are on their way to a repeat in dominance this season. Theilen says you need to be ready for action when Cousins is at the helm.

“You better run every route to win because you never know when you’re going to get that ball. Sometimes you might not even be part of the progression…but if he sees you open he’s going to fire that rock and you better be ready to make a play.”
