Congressman Tom Emmer joined Chad Hartman on Tuesday's show to answer questions about the showdown in Washington over the border wall and a possible government shutdown.

President Trump wants $5 billion for the wall and some have said even the GOP controlled House wouldn't vote in favor of it. Emmer disagreed saying, "The votes are there in the House, the question really is the Senate."

Later, Chad asked the congressman about a recent judicial ruling about the Affordable Care Act. Emmer made it clear that he hopes the ruling means he and his colleagues in congress can finally move past the point of talking and find a healthcare solution that will work for everyone.

"I hope it lights a fire under both Republicans and Democrats at the federal level to, once and for all, stop playing games with words and get the darn thing fixed," Emmer said.
