Former skinhead Tony McAleer shares his story of turning his back on hate

Former skinhead recruiter and organizer for the White Aryan Resistance Tony McAleer, who now works for the organization Life After Hate, talked with Chad Hartman about hate groups in America. Tony shares a story from years ago which he calls 'gay bashing' and 'the most shameful thing he's ever done."

We also learned what made him turn his back on a lifestyle of hate.

Chad also asked about the current climate of hate in the country and Tony said it's too easy to pin the blame for the rise of hate groups on the election of President Trump because the problems are far too widespread,

"'You have to careful about blaming  it on a president because this stuff is deep within our society," he said.
