Timberwolves interim coach Ryan Saunders told reporters Friday morning in New York that all-star center Karl-Anthony Towns is questionable for Friday's game against the Knicks after getting into a car accident yesterday on his way to Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport.

Saunders says Towns was able to take a commercial flight into New York and is resting at the team's hotel after skipping the morning shootaround.

He would not discuss any specific injuries that Towns suffered.

The former number-one overall pick in the 2015 draft played in the NBA All-Star game on Sunday, and the Friday night game in New York is the first for the Timberwolves coming out of the All-Star Break.
