A tree lighting ceremony for the 15-year-old still missing from Barron, Wisconsin will be held on Wednesday.

Jayme Closs went missing October 15, after deputies responded to an inaudible 911 call from her parents’ home. When deputies arrived, they found Closs’ parents shot and killed and Jayme missing.

The outdoor tree lighting will be held on December 12, at 4:45 pm at Riverview Middle School. There will be a choir and messages of hope.

Barron County Sheriff Chris Fitzgerald, who just won his reelection, is slated to speak. He posted on their Facebook page the case remains their number one priority.

“There is nothing new to report but we continue to follow up on leads and we are trying to build a longer timeline of their lives through digital and social records in hopes of leading us to a clue,” said Fitzgerald.

The Sheriff’s department has investigated more than 2,000 tips and a $50,000 reward is still being offered for information leading to an arrest.
