The Twins ended their four-game losing streak with an 8-5 win over the Kansas City Royals Monday.

Miguel Sano hit a home run to improve his numbers against the American League Central opponent. He has a 15-game hitting streak against the Royals, while hitting .373 with six home runs and 26 RBI during that stretch. He made his major league debut at Kaufman Stadium in July 2015 so he says it holds a special place.

"This is the ballpark (where) I realized my dreams,” Sano said. ”My dreams came true when I started in the major leagues and it’s good to me."

Outfielder Eddie Rosario and catcher Mitch Garver both hit run-scoring doubles. Max Kepler doubled and tripled.

Starter Lance Lynn was productive for the second straight outing, posting two earned runs in six innings for back-to-back wins. In his two most recent starts, he’s lowered his ERA from 7.47 to 5.94.

"Early on this season the stuff was there, the location wasn’t," said Lynn, who has lowered his ERA from 7.47 to 5.94 in his past two outings.

Lynn has given up two runs and 11 hits over 12 2/3 innings in his last two games.

Kyle Gibson will take the mound Tuesday against left-hander Tyler Duffy. First pitch is 7:15 with pregame coverage on WCCO starting at 6:30.
