This post comes from the Two Haute Mamas podcast, a peek into the lives, experiences and perspectives of Sheletta Brundidge and Lindy Vincent, two fabulously fun, engaging and opinionated friends.

We like getting free stuff.

We enjoy a great game of baseball.

And we LOVE Prince.

Check. Check. Check.

We're checking those three things off the list on Friday night during the Minnesota Twins Baseball game at Target Field when the team pays tribute to the iconic singer on "Prince Night".

They are giving away a purple jersey, offering a paisley baseball cap and planning a fireworks display set to his music.

A few tickets remain to the game versus the Kansas City Royals. You can buy them here.

This is the third year the ball club has honored Prince with a special theme night.

Mitch Retelny, Twins Senior Manager of Special Events, joined us as a guest on the Two Haute Mamas podcast.

He says the organization works with the Prince estate to provide an authentic experience for fans, "It's an honor for us to celebrate Minnesota's cultural son, icon, whatever superlative you want to use to describe Prince. The big thing for us is we always look at how can we bring Prince and the Twins to life together with some unique items."

The first 10,000 fans through the gate get a free purple jersey that Retelny hopes everyone will wear during the game, "People love to show off their pride. It's Twins pride and it's Prince pride at the same time. It's pretty awesome. I love giving fans items like this jersey that are wearable and usable."

For an additional price, you can purchase a special theme night ticket package which includes a Prince hat with a metallic gold love symbol on the front and the under visor has specially designed paisley print.

Retelny has this bit of advice for fans planning to attend the game, "Buy the theme night package, go get in line to pick up your hat and then make sure you're one of the first to get your jersey."

Tributes don't stop with the giveaways, there will be tributes to Prince on the scoreboard and his music will be played during the game.

Prince theme nights have been highly attended in previous years, even attracting dedicated fans from other countries.

If you want the jersey and the hat, you've got to buy a ticket because the items won't be sold online or at the ballpark.
