If there's any doubt about the commitment of Nelson Cruz to the 2019 Twins, check out his Twitter page:

The updated profile photo comes after Cruz signed a one-year, $14.3 million contract with the Twins, according to multiple sources.

The deal reportedly also includes an option for the 2020 season.

The Twins have yet to make an official announcement of the signing. The club will need to make an associated roster move to open a spot on the full 40-man roster.

Cruz is one of the top home-run hitters in the majors, with more round-trippers in the past five seasons (203) than any other player.

The six-time All-Star and 2011 ALCS most valuable player was with the Seattle Mariners the past four seasons after one year with the Baltimore Orioles. He started his career in 2005 for Milwaukee before playing eight seasons for Texas.

Cruz is 38 years old, and is a little more than one year older than new Twins manager Rocco Baldelli.

In 2013, Cruz was suspended 50 games for his involvement in the Biogenesis perforance-enhancing drug scandal.
