Here are the probable pitching matchups for the Twins' three-game series against the Chicago White Sox, starting Tuesday at Guaranteed Rate Field:

Tuesday:  Lance Lynn (5-5, 4.64) vs. Reynaldo López (2-5, 3.59), 7:10 p.m.
Wednesday: Kyle Gibson (2-5, 3.25) vs. James Shields (2-9, 4.59), 7:10 p.m.
Thursday: Jake Odorizzi (3-5, 4.97) vs. Lucas Giolito (5-7, 7.01), 1:10 p.m.

Following the games on the south side of Chicago, the Twins move to the north side for three games this weekend at Wrigley Field against the Cubs.

Starting Monday, the Twins and Brewers begin a three-game series at Miller Park in Milwaukee, ending with a July 4th afternoon game.

The Twins have not yet determinded who'll take Fernando Romero's spot in the starting rotation after the rookie righthander was sent back to Class AAA Rochester.

That new starter will likely get the call for Saturday's game against the Cubs at Wrigley Field.

Romero is 3-3 with a 4.38 earned run average in ten starts with the Twins.

The Twins recalled Jake Cave on Tuesday after sending outfielder Ryan LaMarre to Class AAA Rochester.

Cave is 4-for-19 in seven games with the Twins this season two home runs and five runs batted in. He was acquired in a trade with the Yankees in March. He's batting .265 with five homers and 27 RBIs in Rochester.

That means outfielder Byron Buxton is still not ready to return to the majors and will remain on rehab assignment in Rochester.

Buxton has been trying to come back from a broken big toe on his left foot, which he hurt in April during an earlier rehab assignment.

LaMarre is batting .263 with no homers and eight RBI in 43 games for the Twins.
