Two people are charged in connection to a string of robberies, including one in which a Minneapolis musician was shot and wounded.

Thirty-five-year-olds Natalie Box of Hibbing and Jonell Butler of Louisiana are charged with multiple counts of aggravated robbery and second-degree assault.

In one case, Aaron Lee, known as "Hix," and his girlfriend were robbed in a popular area of Northeast Minneapolis on Oct. 5, as they made their way to the 331 Club where Hix's band, The Red Daughters, was set to play.

The Star Tribune reports Lee remains hospitalized in stable condition after undergoing three surgeries.

The Minneapolis Police Department says more charges are expected. Box and Butler are in custody.
