Minneapolis police are investigating two reported homicides since Friday night.

There are no arrests in either incident, the latest happened just after midnight Sunday morning near the MPD Fourth Precinct headquarters.

Officers responded to a shot-spotter report on the 1500 block of Plymouth Avenue North around 12:30 a.m. and found a man with a gunshot wound.

The man died after he was taken to Hennepin County Medical Center.

There is no official identification of the man, or of the teenaged boy who was fatally wounded on Friday night.

The victim was found at 5:20 p.m. Friday with a gunshot wound to the head near the intersection of North 30th and Colfax Avenues.

He was pronounced dead at North Memorial hospital.

Neighbors reported hearing at least nine shots before the body was found.

In St. Paul, an arrest was made in connection with the discovery of the body of a woman in a home about 9:30 p.m. Friday in the Frogtown neighborhood, while two children were found unharmed in another part of the house.

Authorities say the woman was gravely injured and pronounced dead at the home on the 500 block of Charles Avenue.

Police say the children found in the home are safe and with a friend of their family.

The suspect who was arrested is a 27-year-old man from Minneapolis, according to St. Paul police.

Names of the victim and children are not released.
