Star Tribune Vikings reporter Andrew Krammer told Cory Hepola Thursday that hiring Kevin Stefanski as the full-time offensive coordinator was not an easy task for the Vikings. Stefanski was considered for the head coaching position with Cleveland and that complicated things for the Vikings, according to Krammer.

"It really was nerve-racking. It’s my understanding that they offered Kevin the job on Friday about a week ago. He was the first candidate, the guy they wanted," Krammer said.

And now that Stefanski has been locked up, Krammer spoke about the challenges ahead as he tries to revamp an offensive group that struggled in 2018.

"Find an identity. Find something that this offense is going to be good at, something that Mike Zimmer will be happy with…and then find something that Kirk Cousins is also going to be happy with."
