Martin made history this past March when she became the first woman play-by-play announce to call a boys’ hockey state tournament game. She has also contributed to The Athletic and Big Ten Network.

“We are so proud of Sloane,” Entercom Senior Vice President Shannon Knoepke said. “Her knowledge and extensive background in the game is going to provide an insight for the Minnesota Lynx fans that is going to be unrivaled. The Minnesota Lynx made a great choice when naming Sloane as the new voice of the Lynx!”

Martin will be pulling double-duty during the season. At WCCO Radio, she's established herself as an experinced, hardworking reporter with a nose for compelling stories, and she plans to continue that work.

“I’m happy that I’ll be able to keep my reporting role at WCCO Radio as well," Martin added.  Everyone has been incredibly supportive and that really means a lot. "

Preseason for the Lynx begins on May 10 when they host the Washington Mystics at the Target Center.
