Someone purchased a lottery ticket in Ramsey that is now worth considerably more than what they paid for it.

The search is now on for the winner of Wednesday's Lotto America drawing, which was worth $21.6 million. The winner has one year from the drawing, or July 10, 2020, to claim the prize.

The winning numbers: 16 - 22 - 32 - 36 - 42 with the Star Ball of 8.

The Holiday store where it was purchased has a history of lottery winners, selling a $1 million winning ticket and two $50,000 winning tickets in the past.

Most people are aware of Powerball and Mega Millions, but Minnesota State Lottery executive director Adam Prock says Lotto America has some big prizes as well—even if the pool of people participating can be a little larger.

“There are 14 states total that participate in Lotto America. Minnesota just happens to be luckier than all of them,” he said.
