The man who was shot by Woodbury police after reportedly taunting them and asking officers to kill him remains in Regions Hospital a day after the incident.

The report from Woodbury police does not indicate if the man who was shot was armed.

It does say that the man took a "shooting stance" against the officers, who ultimately opened fire with lethal and non-lethal rounds.

Police say the man called 911, saying he wanted to die.

The man repeatedly was saying "come kill me," according to police

The report came in just before noon on Sunday in the 7700 block of Highpointe Road in Woodbury.

The Minnesota Bureau of Investigation is looking into the shooting.
